Fashionplate Dan Bedore's Alabama and Conecuh Trail Section Hike

On November 17-19, 2006, I day hiked the Alabama Trail and the Conecuh Trail in the Conecuh NF, and slept in a hotel in Andalusia, Alabama. The trail was mostly dirt roads, and since there were plenty of hunter's trucks parked along the road, I didn't stray from the route. The trail was about 28 miles, which I hiked both ways, plus the Conecuh Trail and a bit of the Florida Trail, so I guess a little more than 60 miles that weekend.

On March 9 and 10, 2016, John and I day hiked the Conecuh Trail. That hike is documented at the beginning of my Appalachian Trail journal.
