Sect. 13 Alabama Trails Association:
7.3 mi from Jackson Chapel Rd. GA to the new Hawkins Hollow Shelter area, AL probably needs brushing. Salem Church Road south to Davis Mt. Shelter area (about 3 miles) needs brushing. The 2 miles of trail north of US278 Hwy was cleared Oct.26,2013; the rest was cleared in Jan., 2013.

Sect. 12
About 1 mile in the middle between US278 and Co Rd 70 (just north of Lanie Gap) needs brushing. The 2.5 miles of trail heading south from the Chief Ladiga Rail Trail and continuing past Oakey Shelter needs brushing. The other 12.7 miles were cleared late summer & fall of 2013.
Sect. 11 Dugger Mt Wilderness
The 5.5 mile section from Jones Branch Rd Gap to north Dugger flats (about 1 mile south of FS500) needs brushing. The damaged trees on the southern end that resulted from the March 18 wind storm were cleared in the spring of 2013.
Sect. 10
North shore of Choccolocco Lake needs weed eating. The 5 mile part from USFS Rd. 540 north to the dam may also need brushing too. The damage from the March 18 straight line wind storm was cleared in April and again in November 2013.
Sect. 6 Cheaha Wilderness
The 8.6 miles from Adam's Gap north to the campsites near McDill Overlook trail (or at least to the new wilderness border sign, which needs a deeper hole dug) may need brushing. Some major blow-downs were cleared on the southern end this fall by the Wilderness Rangers.
Sect. 4 Horn Mt. Section
The 6.6 miles from Bulls Gap, Hwy 148) north to the major transmission lines needs brushing. The next 2.5 miles heading north from Sherman Cliffs needs brushing too.
The 52.6 miles of trail (sect.7-9)from FS Rd 540 (north of Coleman Lake) south to McDill Point (n. border of Cheaha Wilderness) were cleared from late summer to early winter of 2013. The next 23.5 miles of trail (sect. 4-5) from Adams Gap south to the middle of Horn Mt. were cleared fall and late Dec. 2013. The Rebecca Mt.
